v5.0
July 29 – August 28, 2025
API Stability, Dashboard Enhancements & Expanded Granularity
- Improved Error Handling on API Requests (July 29) – Enhanced API stability with better request validation. Missing or incorrect parameters now return clear errors instead of silently defaulting, ensuring more predictable outputs and easier debugging.
- Performance Boost for Audience Overview (Aug 18) – Optimized backend for faster daily view queries, reducing wait times when filtering large datasets.
- API Calls Log Report (Aug 18) – New report available in Account Settings → Account API to track daily API calls and spot usage patterns or errors.
- Refined Dashboard Loading Animation (Aug 20) – Cleaner, more responsive loading animations that better distinguish between loading states and active views.
- Snapshot Line for Dimension Views (Aug 22) – Snapshot feature now available across all Dimension Views, enabling historical exploration of segmented traffic.
- Expanded Dimension Filters in Live Dashboard (Aug 28) – Added more dimensions including device model, region, city, bot category for greater traffic analysis flexibility.
v4.0
June 30 – July 23, 2025
Bot Analytics, Event Insights & Data Accessibility
- Property Pixel Code API Endpoint (June 30) – Retrieve your property's pixel tracking code directly via the API.
- Bot Names in Live Dashboard (July 9) – Added bot names as a dimension with filtering capability to isolate bot traffic and view individual bot traffic volumes.
- Event Columns in Event Overview (July 11) – Now includes Event Category, Event Name, and Event Value columns to visualize unique event combinations and occurrence counts.
- Pagination in Audience Overview (July 14) – Added pagination for dimension views with improved navigation for larger data sets.
- Improved Bot Detection Logic (July 23) – Upgraded to recognize a wider set of bot signatures and enhance overall filtering accuracy.
v3.0
June 5 – June 27, 2025
Performance Gains, Granularity, and Privacy Insights
- Dimension View for Live Dashboard (June 5) – Visualize data broken out by any dimension in both graph and table formats for quick performance comparisons.
- Ad Blocker Traffic Detection (June 12) – Understand estimated percentage of visitors using ad blockers (detection is approximate as some blockers still block all trackers).
- Table Sorting & Pagination (June 17) – Enhanced usability with click-to-sort columns and pagination for improved performance with large datasets.
- Live Dashboard Speed Optimization (June 23) – Reduced Live Dashboard load times by roughly 60% through backend architectural improvements.
- 5-Minute Data Granularity via API (June 27) – Official API now supports data retrieval in 5-minute intervals for higher precision trend monitoring and smoother external dashboard integrations.
v2.0
May 2 – May 23, 2025
API Launch & Real-Time Drill-Down
- Public API (Early Access) (May 2) – Access raw analytics data via REST API! Non-basic users can export events, metrics, and dimensions to BI tools or data warehouses. Generate API keys from Account Settings → Account API.
- Snapshot Rewind & Dimension Drill-Down (May 23) – Drastically improved real-time data exploration:
- Snapshot Rewind: Click any peak or dip in the live graph to rewind the entire dashboard to that moment
- Drill-Downs: Instantly filter the dashboard by clicking dimension values (e.g., device, campaign, country) and chain filters for deep dives
v1.0
April 1 – April 29, 2025
Multi-Property Management & Time Controls
- Multi-Property Support (April 1) – Manage multiple domains, subdomains, and apps within a single Sentinel Pro account. Monitor multiple properties under one login and compare analytics across brands or web assets side by side.
- Extended Live Dashboard Time-Range Selector (April 29) – Customize your Live Dashboard refresh interval to 10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes (up from the default 5 min). Ideal for reducing visual noise during traffic spikes and spotting broader patterns over time.
